This year’s Houston Heights Association Spring Home & Garden Tour offered a fresh look at the neighborhood’s architectural charm and creative spirit—and Set Roots was proud to be part of it. Our team designed the landscape for 301 E. 5th Street, home of Jim and Donna Bennett, crafting an outdoor environment that felt both grounded and expressive.

Our approach emphasized connection: between the home’s architecture and its natural surroundings, between structure and softness, between beauty and function. We layered groundcover plantings, thoughtful textures, and gravel paths to create a landscape that feels like a natural extension of the home—inviting and intentional.
