This fall, Set Roots was honored to be part of the 2024 AIA Houston Home Tour, a two-day celebration of architectural excellence across the city. Among the nine featured homes was 1630 Viking Drive, a new build by 2Scale Architects—and a project where we had the privilege of designing and installing the landscape.

Our goal was to create an outdoor environment that echoed the home’s traditional architecture. We developed a landscape that balanced structure and softness—layering native plantings, sculptural forms, and subtle transitions to complement the home’s geometry without competing with it
